Meet the Doctors

Robert Memory, DMD, MD

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Memory always wanted to become a doctor, as long as he could remember, to use his love of science to help people.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in 1995 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1999. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey. There he received broad exposure in all aspects of dental care, and he especially enjoyed the challenges of treating head and neck trauma. He decided he must go back to school, so to speak, to become an oral surgeon. He applied and was accepted to a very competitive six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. In the course of his residency training, Dr. Memory earned a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has been practicing in Massachusetts since 2007.

Dr. Memory is trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including extractions, pathology, facial trauma, anesthesia/sedation and implant and bone-grafting procedures. He was part of a team that performed the first ever CT-computer guided implant placement at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Memory is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Memory enjoys volunteering on behalf of his professional community. He has held multiple leadership positions in the Metropolitan District Dental Society, including Chairperson, and the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he currently serves as President. In 2019, he received the Robert Burke award for volunteerism from the Metropolitan District Dental Society. He is consistently named a “Top Doctor” by his peers as reported in Boston magazine. Dr. Memory is also an active member of the medical staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and is a licensed dentist and physician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Dr. Memory lives in Needham with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys travel, golf, and skiing, and is a passionate fan of all of the championship sports teams in Boston.

Ross Fahey, DDS

After practicing in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Fahey was very happy to return to the Boston area to join Dr. Robert Memory and the Wellesley Oral Surgery and Implant Center team in May 2023. Dr. Fahey is trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including pediatric oral surgery, extractions, pathology, facial trauma, anesthesia/sedation and implant and bone-grafting procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Fahey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Emory University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2018. While at Tufts, Dr. Fahey was honored to receive the Sterns Scholarship for Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Fahey lives in Boston with his wife and their rescue dog, Nessie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring Boston, trying new restaurants, and watching his favorite sports teams, especially the UNC Tar Heels and Arsenal. He is also currently working on learning Spanish.

MEET THE TEAM

Wendy - Practice Administrator

After working for over 20 years as a dental and oral surgery assistant, Wendy assumed the role of practice administrator. She studied marketing in college, therefore she brings business savvy and efficiency to her current professional role. She enjoys translating medical terminology for patients, as well as educating them about all of their insurance options for their maximum benefit. Outside the office she can be found chauffeuring her daughter to volleyball, cooking, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.

MacKenzie - Patient Care Coordinator

She brings impressive customer service experience to our front desk, having worked for Ulta Beauty and an electronic medical records company, prior to her current post. She enjoys offering a personalized experience for patients, managing everyone’s tight schedules and unique needs with aplomb. After hours, if she’s not studying, MacKenzie likes to cook, care for her two rescue cats, and listen to Taylor Swift.

Stephanie - Patient Care Coordinator

Stephanie used to be a dental assistant, but she prefers the front lines of the front desk, where she serves as a source of positivity and organization. A natural caregiver, Stephanie loves to talk to the parents of wisdom teeth patients to help put them at ease. A parent of young adult children herself, she can share her own personal experience, along with an in-depth understanding of oral surgery and dentistry. Outside the office, Stephanie enjoys traveling, photography, kickboxing, and spending time with family and friends, as well as her dog, Toby. She also loves to bake and cook, especially Greek cuisine and the French-Canadian specialties of her childhood.

Jean - Patient Care Coordinator

A certified public accountant, Jean transitioned recently to healthcare to direct her financial expertise toward helping patients navigate health insurance and billing. Fluent in Korean and an active member of her church, in her free time Jean helps translate her pastor’s sermons into English for publication. She also plays the piano and loves listening to classical music and jazz.

Jonathan - Patient Care Coordinator

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Jonathan brings more than 17 years of customer service experience to our front desk. After managing individual stores for the big box retail giants CVS and Walmart, he switched to the medical and dental field, and he hasn’t looked back. Now, instead of managing inventory, his typical day includes welcoming patients with a smile, checking your insurance benefits, uploading medical records, and communicating with our dental colleagues. A hard-working team player, Jonathan aims to foster a personal connection with each and every patient. Outside the office, Jonathan enjoys playing baseball with his twin boys, doing yardwork, and chasing after the family dog.

Heather - Billing Manager

Heather has worked exclusively in oral surgery administration and billing since 2007. She keeps up to date on industry trends and enjoys furthering her education, taking classes in the intricacies of insurance coding every year. Heather views her job as a fun puzzle to solve, to coordinate both medical and dental insurance coverage. She works hard to get the most benefits for our patients. When she’s not answering patient questions or checking claim details, she’s likely cheering at (or traveling to) her teenaged daughter’s club volleyball tournaments. She also enjoys weightlifting and taking her maltipoo, Jersey, to the dog park.

Samantha - Lead Surgical Assistant

After six years of oral surgery front desk experience, including one year at Wellesley Oral Surgery and Implant Center, Samantha trained on the job, with Dr. Memory, to become a surgical assistant. She was promoted in January 2023, after earning dental radiology certification from Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine. In 2024, she earned her DAANCE certification (dental anesthesia assistant national certification examination). Samantha’s cross training in both the operatory and the front desk, allows her to appreciate the full scope of the patient experience. Her bubbly personality and calming presence puts patients at ease right away. Outside the office Samantha enjoys reading and disk golfing. She’s also an avid video game streamer.

Ann - Surgical Assistant

Ann starting working as a dental assistant right after high school, and she soon specialized in oral surgery in order to continue to learn about medicine and develop professionally. In 2012, she earned her DAANCE certification (dental anesthesia assistant national certification examination). She enjoys the interesting variety of patients and procedures that oral surgery offers, and is certified as a dental anesthesia assistant by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Gina lives in Uxbridge with her blended family of seven, including her young son, as well as cousins and other extended family members.

Jen - Surgical Assistant

Jen had such a good experience going to the dentist as a child, that it was her own childhood hygienist who inspired her to pursue her career in dental assisting. Almost 20 years later, Jen still loves her job, helping oral surgery patients feel comfortable and helping to make a difference in their lives. In 2012 she earned the prestigious DAANCE certification (dental anesthesia assistant national certification examination). Outside the office she enjoys traveling and crafting with her large family.

Maureen - Surgical Assistant

Maureen is a valuable, veteran surgical assistant, bringing 20+ years of experience to the Wellesley Oral Surgery and Implant Center team. Video Testimonials

Our patients say

“ I cannot say amazing enough! From Jean at the front desk, to Gina the dental assistant , to Dr Memory, each was so kind, compassionate and friendly! I had an initial consultation with Dr Memory to review the treatment plan. He was patient and explained everything clearly. I was confident with the plan we decided upon but still nervous during the time leading up to it (as I am sure most people are)…luckily all for no reason. He was as gentle as could be!  Before I knew it we were done…quick and painless. Without a doubt Dr Memory and his team are the best! Wish I had found them for my previous work but glad I have them now. I absolutely give them the most stars I can give and then some. Pricing was very reasonable as well….wanted to make sure I mentioned that too.  Thank you, Dr Memory and team for being so competent, kind, and patient! I very much appreciate all of you!”

Pauline C.

“ I was very pleased with my experience at Wellesley Oral Surgery. Dr Fahey and his assistant, Ann, were very friendly and explained the process very thoroughly. Dr Fahey performed the extraction very efficiently and with no pain. Since my surgery I have only taken two Tylenol Pills once when I got home. Since then I’ve had no pain and have not had to take any more Tylenol. Dr Fahey called a few days after my surgery to check on my progress.
It was a great experience, I would recommend Wellesley Oral Surgery to anyone needing a removal or an implant!”

Jim V.

“ Undoubtedly the best oral surgery-related experience I've ever had. On the day of my surgery- 4 wisdom teeth extraction,  I've felt as though I've been cared for and treated like family.  I have been beyond pleased with the excellent care I have received at Wellesley Oral Surgery & Implant Center!  Dr. Memory was knowledgeable and very informative.  He was very patience and answered all my questions.  He and his team were kind and gentle and have taken my fear of surgery away! I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands with them. I recommend this group whole heartedly!  Truly the best!!!”

Amy S.

“ Amazing experience!  Dr. Memory and the  whole team were super professional and friendly. They took really good care of me. They guided me through the process clearly and were on time with the appointment. I was quite nervous about the wisdom tooth procedure going in but it was so quick and painless (had all four wisdom teeth removed). One moment I was out, the next I was done. The blink of an eye! I appreciated the follow up phone call to see how I was doing. Thank you again for a great experience!”

Quinn F.

“ They are extremely knowledgeable and out to help you as much as possible. I got my wisdom teeth removed recently and Dr. Memory was very good at his job as well as the anesthesiologist and PAs. While it sucks recovering from it, Wellesley Oral Surgery did their absolute best to make the process easier on me. If you need implants, tooth removals, or have general dental needs and live anywhere near Wellesley or Newton, I'd put my trust in them!”

Alex
